Program
Our Be Cool at…My School Summer Program offers a wealth of activities, experiences, and investigations to
research and delve into. Project Work has centered on interest areas of children such as ocean life, gardening,
and insects. This summer our main focus area will be on the visual arts!
In addition to working with materials, children will be exposed to local field trips that will enhance a more
comprehensive understanding of subjects being explored. Resource people will further allow our children better
understanding of information about projects they are working on.
Teachers will consult and work with children helping them to understand and extend their knowledge of the
materials, Displays of work will be present. Documentation of projects will highlight the children’s progress.
Children create in hundreds of ‘languages.’ It is our responsibility to afford them opportunities to explore, learn,
and create in these languages.
Schedule
There are 4 two week sessions. Children may attend any number of these sessions. At the beginning of the
program children and instructors will decide on projects to be studied.
Preschool (2.8 yrs.-4 yrs.)
Kindergarten-1st (5yrs.-7 yrs.)
There are 2, 3, or 5 day programs 9am-12 noon with before and after school care available (8am-5:30pm).
Daily Schedule
8-9am Child Care Greeting
9-9:30am Small group singing, stories, project work discussion
9:30-10am Snack (Children bring own snacks) Outside Recess
10-11:20am Work Stations to explore and investigate in
11:20-11:40am Clean Up
11:40-12 noon Wrap up discussion, songs, dance, plan for further work
12-1pm Lunch-Children bring own lunch and snacks
1-2:15pm Rest/Quiet time
2:15-5:30pm Snack Child care: Outside activities water, walking trips, playground

Fees
There are 2, 3, or 5 day programs 9-12 noon with before and after-care available from 8am to 5:30 pm
